California EIC Consortium had a two-day collaboration meeting at UC Davis during July 18-19, 2022. This is the first in-person collaboration meeting since the beginning of the pandemic. Our undergrad trainees, Grace Garmire, Jay Huang, and Luis Garabito Ruiz, have attended the meeting and given presentations on their ongoing research. Our Cal-Bridge to the Electron Ion Collider Scholars (CB-EIC Scholars) have been selected. We have four wonderful undergraduate students who will join our program. Please check their information at CB-EIC Scholars link. Grace Garmire (Cal Poly SLO) and Jeisson Pulido (CSU Dominguez Hills) will be working with UCLA and LBNL teams, and their traineeship will be directed by Prof. Zhongbo Kang (UCLA) and Dr. Ernst Sichtermann (LBNL). On the other hand, Jay Huang (UC Riverside) and Luis Garabito Ruiz (UC Riverside) will be working with UC Riverside and LLNL teams, and their traineeship will be directed by Prof. Miguel Arratia (UC Riverside) and Dr. Ron Soltz (LLNL). All these students will be integrated to the California EIC Consortium and will coherently work within the entire team.
